LGB Civil Hospital, Tinsukia is located at Bordoloi Nagar in Tinsukia District of Assam. It is a secondary care level hospital with sanctioned bed strength of 100 beds initially. The Hospital was started in the year 1991 & was renovated in the year 2007-08. Currently the Hospital is functioning with 268 beds (Old Building & MCH Wings). The Hospital is located near the residential area of the District Headquarter. Honorable Minister of Health Govt. of Assam has inaugurated Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Wings in 16th June, 2019.
Increase life expectancy and improve physical quality of life of people of Tinsukia so that they attain the highest level of physical, mental and spiritual health and contribute towards the development of the state.
Geographical area of the Tinsukia District is 3,700 Sq. Km. Total population of the District is 12, 72,686. The population density of the district is 303 persons per Sq Km. The annual growth rate of the District during 1991 to 2001 is 1.8% 7 the Sex Ratio is 909 Females/1000 Males. Scheduled Caste % is 23.1 & Scheduled Tribes % is 28.5.The Literacy rate of the District is 53.4% with 61.2% for Males and 44.8% for Females.
