LGB Civil Hospital Tinsukia

The GNM Training School, Tinsukia situated adjacent to the Tinsukia Civil Hospital was established during the year 2000-2001 under AAP-IPP IX for Health and Family welfare department Assam and was finally undertaken by the State Government on May 2009. The Government has created posts for Non Teaching Staff but Teaching Staff Posts are yet to be created. The teaching Staffs are working on attachment basis from other district. There are 3 (Three) clinical instructors working under NHM. At present total 8 (Eight) teaching staffs are working here.

The annual intake capacity of the training school is 40 students per year and it is recognized under the Assam Nurses Midwives & Health Visitors Council State of Assam.

Total 283 No's of students have passed from this institution since 2003 and are posted at various health institutions in an around the state (both private and public).

Geographical Location: The GNM School is situated at Bordoloi Nagar, Tinsukia adjacent to Tinsukia Civil Hospital with a plot area of 90m x 63m (5670 Sqm approx) including the GNM training School of size 26.2m x 25.2m (660 sqm approx). Nursing Hostel area is 28.3m x 23.7m (671 sqm approx.). GNM Auditorium area is 22.8m x 15m (342 sqm approx.) Hostel Super Quarter area is 10.5m x 8.5m (89.25 sqm approx.) and Hostel Warden Quarter 9.5m x 6.0m (57 sqm. approx.). The vacant area is 3851 sqm.
